Wasn't it just yesterday I was posting that Evan was SIX months old and here we are at seven?

We are at Grandma and Grandpa Heflebower's for the Independence Day holiday 2005. Evan is enjoying the pool and he is napping and sleeping very well. James and I have actually had time to go on a date!

Tomorrow we are setting off some fireworks and we are going to wake Evan up around 8 something after a late nap or early bed time and then hopefully put him back down after bedtime. Now he maybe going back down very quickly depending on his reaction to the fireworks. I will be sure to post pictures either way.

Last we heard Grandma Earlene is spending the holiday weekend camping so we say hello to her and Phil out in the wild!

So Evan is back on some meat now and no problems, but I don't feed it to him everyday. He is sitting up very well now although we do of course need to keep an eye on him in case of toppeling. Evan also loves to chew on little baby biscuits and he has managed to get a Cheerio or two in his mouth.

We hope you are all enjoying your weekend. It cooled off a bit here and I really hope no one is sweltering. Enjoy the holiday, grilling and fireworks!

Suey Suey!

Calling all little piggies! For the first time Evan fed himself! They were cheerios, and then little blobs of baby food. He is in a growth spurt and I guess hunger is a good inspiration for milestones!

Evan grabbed Cheerios in his little fingers and *pop* in the mouth they go. He gags frequently on the texture which bothers me a bit, so I think I am going to pick up some biter biscuits for him to gnaw on.

Here are the messy results. I am also including a picture of him in his Johnny Jumper with his new Robeez shoes on his feet. He jumps much higher with them on I think because they protect his toes from being smashed.

In the second picture Evan is looking away from the camera because Daddy got home from work and that is always a joyous time for Evan. So sweet.

Not the weekend?

I almost said "have a good weekend" I wonder where my head is? I think it was gone during pregnancy anyway.

I am excited to head up to Virginia on Thursday for the 4th weekend. The pool is going to be oh so nice considering the recent oppressive sauna that is our weather.

Evan has taken to getting up on all fours (knees) and rocking back and forth anticipating forward motion. The will and the dive are there, but not the motion. When he does crawl we are all in trouble, especially Chloe and Simon.

Here are a few pictures for your viewing pleasure.
