Easter Week

The boys and I went up to Virginia over Spring Break and Easter weekend. We had a very relaxed week and played outside a lot. The weather was a little colder than is desirable, but typical Spring in Virginia.

We went to the Air and Space Museum again and the kids loved it once again. Drew is enthralled with airplanes so it was non stop "da peeene! da peeene!" from him.

Day at the Airport

Spring is almost here and we are finally feeling like it is. On and off. But today we took advantage of the warm weather and went out to the airport observation park. First, I have to share that Drew found an old pair of heels I don't wear anymore and being the shoe guy he is, he had to put them on. I think he thought he had claimed them as he was quite upset when I took them away out of fear he would finally chip a tooth as many times as he fell flat on his face.

I like going to the airport because Drew loves airplanes and every time he sees them he acts as if it is the most amazing sight he has ever seen. As the airplanes take off he says, "Peeen! Peeen! Up, up up! Bye!"

There is an airplane, oh my gosh there is an AIRPLANE!

Photobucket

Did you see that airplane?

Photobucket

I swear I just saw another one!

There is another!

Drew's First Haircut

First, Drew had his last day of Little Gym a couple of weeks ago. I had to go to Evan's annual Student Teacher Conference for Preschool so James accompanied Drew on his last day.

Swinging around with Ava. Ava's older sister, Payton, is one of Evan's preschool classmates.

I have trimmed the back of Drew's hair once before when he was distracted, but it is really growing in now and he can get some serious mad scientist hair going on. Lately I noticed he was having it all the time, not just in the mornings, so we took him to get his first cut. He did really well, he was a year older than Evan was for his first cut, and Drew has witnessed several of Evan's haircuts. So it was easy peasy lemon-squeezy.
