The heat wave gave us the perfect opportunity to potty train. Evan surveying his potential loot. Bribery is a common corruption in our household. Evan is staying dry all day! Also, introducing Lucy. Supposedly she is a Border Collie/Lab mix. Whatever she is, she is a real sweetheart and has fit right in with our family. Though now I do feel like Drew has a troublesome twin.

I put in a garden, James put in the border. We made and improve the rock bed for the trash can. I don't really have any "before" pictures. It used to be a mossy bed of mud.
Fern, grasses, elephant ear things, fuzzy thyme. Japanese maple will be bigger and lush one day to anchor that corner. A lot of these have filled out more since this picture was taken.

I am thinking about planting more around this hydrangea until it fills out. Some annuals maybe. Since this picture that bloom has dropped off and a few more have popped up.
