Our Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to all the great Dads out there including my Dad and my husband. James is busy with things going on at work and some summer session classes so he is working 7 days a week! He is a patient, fun and kind father and Evan and Drew love him very much.

We started Father's Day early this morning once Evan woke up. Evan was saying "Daddy's Day!" We gave James some Keen sandals, tee shirt made by the boys, a garden gnome and a Starbuck's coffee card.

Then Drew and I had to hoof it to Durham to deliver an abandoned baby bird to the Piedmont Wildlife Center. The blue bird parents nested in our porch and then just off and disappeared.

James went to work and I went to the pool with my friend Lori and her son Vince who is Evan's really good buddy. The only picture I got was this one because Lori and I were both so busy juggling the 3 kids between us. Lori was so nice to whoosh Evan around in the water and also hold Drew for a bit. A great friend! This is Evan trailing behind Vince as Lori calls them to the pool. Evan LOVES the pool as long as you don't try to make him touch the bottom, even in the shallow end.

We came home and Drew napped while Evan played in his room. Then we went outside and played in the sandbox and at the water table.

Then James picked up takeout on the way home.

Drew had his first bananas and absolutely loved them. I give him a fruit and some rice cereal every day when we eat dinner. Drew tries to suck the spoon.
